Chem Sources was conceived in a small office on Wall Street in New York City in 1958. As a purchasing agent, it was a difficult and time consuming task to find available chemicals on the market, yet alone their manufacturers. Then there was the costly and often aggravating attempt to contact each company for order information. The need for an all-in-one directory was obvious.
